Below is my Youtube video on using Excel countif formula and data validation to prevent duplicate data entry into a column. This method can assist the user in preventing duplicate entry and also ensure that every row in the column is unique.

One thing to take note is that a trailing space at the end of a text is considered a new text, for example, ‘Chelsea’ is different from ‘Chelsea ‘ in the eyes of Excel. Hope this helps in daily data related task.
